Quarry Products scoops new loading shovel

Share to:

Hills Quarry Products has continued its investment in its mobile plant fleet with the purchase of a new Komatsu WA475-10 loading shovel.

The new machine will operate at Cerney Wick Quarry and its advanced engineering offers up to a 15% fuel-efficiency saving compared to previous models. It is compatible with Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (HVO) fuel – and also comes with a 360° HD camera system to give the operator full visibility around his machine at all times.

Jon Lisk, Project Manager – Aggregates said: “This new loading shovel has been procured with a full service and support package from Komatsu, which reduces lifetime running costs. It will also be included in the Hills Quarry Products KalPRO TOMS tyre management programme and Maple Program, both run by Kaltire – which, will help reduce our carbon emissions by retreading our mobile plant tyres rather than buying new.”
